Self-serve
Search common questions about domains, API keys, billing, and security.
Add your domain in the dashboard, then add the DNS records we generate (MX, SPF, DKIM, and a verification TXT). Verification usually completes within a few minutes once DNS propagates. You can create unlimited mailboxes and subdomains under a verified domain at no extra cost.
Domain setup guideAPI keys live under Settings → API Keys in the dashboard. Create a key, copy it once (we only show the full value at creation), and send it as a Bearer token in the Authorization header. Rotate or revoke keys at any time without downtime for your other keys.
Authentication docsYes. Mailpipe is provider-agnostic — you can switch the underlying sending service (Resend, SES, Mailgun, Postmark, or SendGrid) from the dashboard without changing your code or routing rules.
Limits scale with your plan and are enforced per API key. When you exceed a limit the API returns HTTP 429 with a Retry-After header so you can back off cleanly. Reach out if you need a higher ceiling for a launch or migration.
Rate limit referencePlans are billed monthly or annually (annual saves 20%). Usage above your plan’s included volume is billed as metered overage at the end of the cycle. You can review usage and manage your plan from the billing portal at any time.
We never store message bodies at rest — data flows directly to your database. All connections use TLS 1.3, and we are SOC 2 Type II certified. To report a vulnerability, email security@mailpipe.dev or use the form below with the Security topic.
Security best practicesConfirm the endpoint returns a 2xx within the timeout, verify the signature using your signing secret, and check the Deliveries log in the dashboard for the response code and body we received. Failed deliveries are retried with exponential backoff.
